Illinois State Police cracking down on ‘Move Over’ violators with hidden troopers WQAD Moline
ILLINOIS — State troopers are cracking down on drivers who don’t follow the “Move Over” Law, according to a Facebook post from the department. The law, also called the “Scott’s Law,” mandates that drivers slow down, move over to another lane and proceed with caution if a car is disabled on the shoulder. In 2017, the law was expanded to include all vehicles displaying hazard lights, not just emergency vehicles.
